Valantina Abu Oqsa is a Palestinian actress, theatre director, poet and playwright. She was born in Ma'lea village, in the Upper Galilee, north of Palestine, on 3 December 1967. She now lives in Haifa with her husband and children. In 1986, she started her career in theatre with Al Hakawati Theatre Group in Jerusalem after a year and a half of studying theatre in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. In addition, she embarks the most theatre fields, in editing writing, directing and producing. She participated in the most important theatrical productions in Palestine, she performed in many cities in Europe and the United States And Arab country, in several languages. She is one of the co-founders of the Palestinian Theatre League in Jerusalem. == Valantina and her struggle == On April 9, 2002 Valantina became known as The Struggler artist,〔http://www.valantina-abu-oqsa.net/ENGLISH/struggle.htm〕 after she was shot by live bullets from the weapon of an Israeli soldier and she completely lost her joint left elbow during the invasion and the destruction of the Jenin Refugee Camp, as she has been involved with a number of activists to deliver supplies and medicine to the camp.
